Make My Holidays (makemyholidays.net)
I wish to you warn you that makemyholidays.net is the worst company ever!!! They have taken my money and not provided anything but empty promises. Make my holidays are nothing but a scam and they will rip you off as well if you give them your credit card. Stay away from makemyholidays.net. Make my holidays is a scam! Do not trust makemyholidays.net.

If you are from UK you can report them to National Fraud Authority - http://www.attorneygeneral.gov.uk/nfa/Pages/default2.aspx

yeh Your hundred percent right i signed up with a few other friends and we can never get bookings with them its a ruthless scam i think they should be shut down by the fraud department,their office is located in the CBD Melbourne.

The problem i have is i sucked alot of friend in with me..... well....... to bad!
They are crooks and the company is fraud. They took my money and sent me false booking. When I contacted them no one replied. Ruined my kids birthday. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL ......

ReplyDeleteBEWARE www.Makemyholidays.net They duped my elderly mother into giving her bank card details and then removed hundreds of £GBP without permission. I’ve been fighting them for 18 months now. If you do manage to get through to the call centre (in India) they leave you on call-hold for hours, claim they can’t understand you, claim they haven’t received e-mails, never call back, and won’t sign for registered letters. Trading Standards won’t investigate them because they say they “don’t have enough complaints” - so please report them if you have had problems with this company. I’m posting this on as many forums as I can find to warn people. I wouldn’t dare travel abroad with this holiday company - I don’t trust a single word they say.
ReplyDeleteOMG I completely agree! This is a scam of a holiday agency. They claimed that I can purchuse 4 vouchers or so in my mothers name as I didnt fit the criteria but will still be able to travel! I have rung them many times to get a refund but no luck. I have been calling since last april. Trading standards UK did help me but no luck so there was nothing more they could do. Whenever I get another call from make my holidays (firstly they cant even get your name right and so pronounce it with a freshie accent!) I tell them to F*** off!!!

ReplyDeleteit was too bad to learn they are still operating while they ripped me off in early 2009!!! I wrote to them lots of times, but no one replied!!! I thought it was just one off thing that happened to me only!!!

DeleteI have had terrible time with this company too. Have been to the small claims tribunal NSW who confirmed that make my holidays must refund my money. Of course the money never came. I could take this to The courts as I now have what is called a money order. But it will cost me another $100 or more dollars and not confident we will get our money that way either. If the courts can get the money out of them then it has to include the $100 court fees. We just visited their so called office in Melbourne. A company called Regis are there and say there's is no make my holidays in that office and don't know them. Although there was a registered name of make my holidays with a guy called George attached to the name. Dodgy dodgy dodgy. Whilst I would like to get my money $400 I might have to put this down to experience to never ever buy off the Internet spontaneous like this ever again.
